CFA and FRM. Both are good individually, collectively they are definitely a good combination. But first things first, no amount of degrees or certifications can replace your practical knowledge.

Firstly you should do CFA. Look for a job, understand the industry, get used to the flow of things and if during this course you really feel that risk management is your cup of tea and you wish to enhance your knowledge, build up domain expertise in that field, then FRM should be pursued without a thought.
Both degrees will look good together, but then again it’s not the degree you want to run after, but what you like. It’s about pursuing your passion. My take is to get into CFA. It will open up avenues. Get into the industry and if you really find risk management fascinating, then go for FRM as it is more specialized.

Know yourself first. You can know yourself only when you are given an opportunity. Open your doors with CFA and who knows you will love valuations more than risk management and maybe you won’t consider FRM then.
While the CFA program does contain a lot of the information of the FRM Program, FRM dives deeper into its subject material. Both the programs make good complements to each other. It can also be appealing to do both the programs. It would be a wise choice to pursue both either consecutively or simultaneously. These two programs are the most sought-after designations and possessing both in your arsenal will boost your resume.
